Michelle Garcia DeOcampo’s educational background is in Social Welfare & Globalization. In college, she gained professional & leadership experience in many ways – including teaching abroad in Cambodia, interning at a refugee resettlement agency, founding a mentorship program for college-seeking immigrants, serving as president of a student-led advocacy organization, and serving as a diversity & inclusion educator on-campus. Post-college, she started her career in global health & human rights by developing health programming in developing countries, especially in the Middle East. She then brought her passion for serving diverse communities into the mental health field to deliver mental health & wellness workshops to immigrants & refugees living in NY. Now in Boston, Michelle is focused on building her consulting business, focused on the intersection between culture & health.
